Bad News to JSS Intern Teachers as Thousands are Sacked by TSC After Calling Off Strike

Junior Secondary School intern teachers received some bad news after thousands of them were served with sacking letters from their employer, the Teachers Service Commission.

To make matters worse, the JSS intern teachers were sacked two days after they decided to call off their Nationwide strike.

The Teachers Service Commission served the JSS intern teachers with termination of contract letters on Monday. The letters cited that the JSS intern teachers were sacked on grounds of professional misconduct.

Late last month, the same JSS intern teachers were last month served with show cause letters but that did not intimidate them and they just continued with their strike without being intimidated. All that they were asking for is for them to be confirmed on Permanent and Pensionable basis.
