Gachagua Alleges Plan to Remove CJ Koome and Disband Supreme Court

The former Deputy President, honorable Rigathi Gachagua has alleged that, there is a plot to remove Chief Justice Martha Koome from her position. He also stated that, there are also plans to disband the Supreme Court.

He alleged this while attending a Church service at Meru PCEA church on Sunday. He also added that, there are proxies being used to remove her from the office.

Honorable Rigathi Gachagua told the Chief Justice that, she should not be intimidated with anything. He told her that, she should stay put because she is doing a very good job to make sure that the country is a country that is governed by the rule of law and Constitutionalism.

He further went ahead and said that, one of the strategy being used is the withdrawal of the security details of the Chief Justice. Honorable Rigathi Gachagua said that, this was done so that she can be scared and pushed to her resignation as the Chief Justice.

The former Deputy President also said that, there is even a bigger scheme and that one is to do away with the Supreme Court ahead of the 2027 general elections. He stated that, a budget has already been set aside through the National Intelligence Service.

He further added that, the petitions that Kenyans are seeing against the Chief Justice and the other Supreme Court judges are just mechanisms of the State.

He further went ahead and said that, the end goal is well known and it is to put a Supreme Court bench that will be amiable to the government. He further went ahead and asked the international community to keep an eye on Kenya.

These revelations of the former Deputy President come just few days after the security details of the Chief Justice was withdrawn and later reinstated. The Cabinet Secretary of Interior, honorable Kipchumba Murkomen said that, this was just a routine service in the National Police Service and some of the security personnel of the Chief Justice were due for promotion and training too.
