Honorable Hassan Joho has broken the record on the Cabinet Secretary nominees net worth. He has stated that he is worth 2.36 billion shillings. This is made up of properties that that include homes in Mombasa, Nairobi, Vipingo and Malindi. He also said that he also has property shareholdings.
The former Governor of Mombasa County, honorable Hassan Joho further stated that, the 2.36 Billion shillings that he quoted, is his net worth and not that of the family. He made a light joke and stated that he wishes that the family net worth could be his too.
He also stated that he has watches and cash in banks. His net worth is so far the biggest in terms of all the Cabinet Secretary nominees who have so far been vetted.
Honorable Hassan Joho stated clearly that he started working even before he joined the University. He formed a Clearing and Forwarding Company and he is also largely involved in Logistics. He stated that, he is a service provider.
The Cabinet Secretary nominee for Mining, Blue Economy and Maritime Affairs, also added that he has a lot of experience in matters to do with governance and transformation. He also added that he has been a Member of parliament and a Governor for two terms. He has also served as an Assistant Minister in the Ministry of Roads and Transport.
Honorable Hassan Joho, as proven that he is the true definition of hard work and resilience. He started from the bottom but this did not deter him from pursuing further Education. The members of the Appointments Committee were also impressed with him and they urged him to give hope to the young Kenyans who may also be on the same page as him while at that age.
