How Arsenal Beat Manchester City 1-0 in Their Premier League Game

Arsenal hosted Manchester City in another tough and thorough game of the English Premier League. The Arsenal fans were disappointed with the squad because there was no Bukayo Saka neither in the squad nor on the bench.

Mikel Arteta used Gabriel Jesus in Bukayo Saka’s position, Leandro Trossard in Martinelli’s position while Jorginho was also involved for the first time in the starting eleven. The game started on a very high note and it was very evident that all the Managers needed nothing but a win in that game.

The first half was somehow tough but it ended 0-0. Mikel Arteta read the script very well and he immediately substituted Leandro Trossard and brought in Gabriel Martinelli. The Brazilian international player changed the game and he brought some new energy in the game.

Pep Guardiola quickly reacted to his squad and he made a triple change. He substituted Rico Lewis and brought in John Stones, Mateo Kovacic for Matheus Nunes and Julian Alvarez for Jeremy Doku.

Mikel Arteta too reacted to the changes and he also further made a triple change. He substituted Oleksandr Zinchenko and replaced himwith Takehiro Tomiyasu, Eddie Nketiah with Kai Havertz and Jorginho with Thomas Partey.

The changes worked very well and Kai Havertz provided Gabriel Martinelli with a brilliant pass and the Brazilian international player summed up his performance and marked his return from injury with a goal.

The Arsenal players defended the goal until the last minute of the game. This was Arsenal’s first win over Manchester City in the Premier League since December, 2015.

Arsenal collected all the three points and the club is now in position two same as Tottenham Hotspurs with 20 points.
