Kenyans have yet again received some sad news that is in relation to femicide cases that have now been rampant in the country. Another lady was yet again murdered by her boyfriend in Kahawa West.
The radio presenter was identified as Lilian Achieng Aluko and she was working at Radio 44. It was realized that the radio presenter was murdered on Friday by her boyfriend and he later fled away. The police are currently looking for him after launching a man hunt on him.
Lilian’s body was found lying helplessly in her boyfriend’s house and she had some wounds on her face and also her back had a stab.
Her family members confirmed that, she had told them that she was going to spend the night at her boyfriend’s place. They never knew that, this was the last time that they were seeing her alive. She had left her family house at around 11am on Thursday and that is the time she told them that, she was not going to come back because she was going to spend the night there.
The police report indicated that, the two lovers returned home late on that Thursday night after spending some time in an entertainment joint. The neighbors later started hearing some commotion coming from their house.
The neighbors tried to intervene after hearing the commotion, but they were unable to offer any help because, the house was locked and the music was also very loud. The police officers also recovered a knife and they believe that it is one of the exhibits that was used to conduct the brutal murder.
This murder comes at a time when the debate on the issue is still very hot in the country. It forced even President William Ruto to intervene and he asked all the security agencies to make sure that those who commit such crimes are brought to book.
