Major calls the police to find out if they have any information about JJ; he tells them that JJ is just wandering around, and he asks that the officer investigate him thoroughly; he also asks about Kokan, but they have no updates on him because the search is still ongoing. Major requests that the police officer keep him updated on any developments.
When Saada inquires as to where they discovered Maria, Bi. Salama explains that the girl who ultimately saved Buya’s life really discovered them. Saada is concerned about Buya, so she asks Bi. Salama about him. Bi. Salama reassures her that Buya has been located, but that Dida has taken him far away to protect him from Fatima, who has come to the hamlet and endangered their lives. Maria inquires as to their departure plans, and Sultana verifies with her mother that they will take the day to prepare, but Saada urges that they should go on the same day because she cannot handle Major and Fatima’s argument at the same time.
After hearing sobbing, Major emerges from his room to find Fatima sobbing on the floor; he tries to find out what’s wrong but she continues to cry, so he comes closer to wipe her tears and asks if she’s heard anything from Buya or Dida; she says no. Major is left wondering what’s wrong with Fatima, and she leaves after telling him he can’t help her. She goes outside, where someone has dumped her luggage; Major wonders who would do such a thing; Fatima attempts to guilt trip him into letting her leave because she doesn’t want to be a problem; and Fatima snitches on Asiya for being rude to her. Though she tries to act contrite, Major yells for Asiya by name.
When JJ finally gets to Bi. Salama’s house, he’s fuming mad and he stares at her, demanding the truth.
Major advises Fatima not to imagine the secret will give her any power by giving her two hard slaps and explaining that the first was meant to teach her a lesson and the second was meant to remind her she was just a help in that family. Fatima tells her to gather her belongings, clean them, and reorganize her bedroom. Major tells her to hurry up and do as she’s ordered, but Fatima warns her that her bag is extremely expensive and that she should be grateful that Major hasn’t reduced her pay because of her carelessness.
Saada stands in front of Bi. Salama and tries to calm JJ down, begging him to put the pistol away, but JJ tells her that she knows everything since Major is not her father and he wants to know who his parents are, so he pulls out the gun and threatens Bi. Salama with it. After Saada tries to calm him down by telling him that violence isn’t the solution and that they can discuss the situation over dinner at home, JJ comes out and says that she can’t since the house is locked and nobody was there. He is very concerned about the whereabouts of his loved ones.
He asks her why she is following him around, and she explains that she was there because she loved him, but he can’t marry her as his second wife, and Fatima makes fun of his marriage to Ua, saying that all is fair in love and marriage. Major is surprised that she was talking of blackmail, since Asiya and she are just the same, and he offers to marry her as his third wife, but Fatima refuses, saying that all is fair in love and marriage.
Saada questions Major’s decision to flee after initiating hostilities, and she tries to convince JJ that losing his cool won’t gain him the results he seeks. Maria picks up a chair to knock JJ out of the room while being all brave and proclaiming that she has no fear of death, but JJ calmly aims the gun at her and warns her to cool down or he will blow her brains out. JJ places the gun to his side and tells Saada he wasn’t looking for peace, explaining that he had spoken to Asiya, who revealed that Bi. Salama is the only person who knows the truth about Saada’s parents. Saada is startled to learn that Asiya knew this.
Asiya walks around the house with a grin on her face, clearly impressed by all she sees. When Fatima asks her what she’s using to blackmail Major, Asiya confidently replies that if Major didn’t tell her, he clearly didn’t trust her. When Asiya doesn’t seem to be fazed by Fatima’s declaration of war against her, Fatima reminds her that what she did previously was just a taste and that she can make the place a living hell for her.
Salama tries to encourage Saada to have a conversation with J.J., but Saada gets hostile and demands to know whether or not J.J.’s aunt was present at his birth. After Sultana asks JJ where he is getting the courage to confront her mother in her presence, he responds that he has a right to know who his parents are and that he didn’t care what she had to say when she visited him in prison. However, JJ is convinced that Sultana just wanted to lie to him because Kokan didn’t take responsibility for her pregnancy and she wanted to pin it on him. This breaks Sultana and she asks JJ to leave.
Fatima sees Major walking about and talking on the phone; she then approaches him and tells him to relax and offers him a drink.
Bi. Salama assists Sultana in removing her clothing and laying down to rest; the young woman tries to get up to check that JJ has left, but her mother encourages her to stay down and rest. JJ is worried that something is seriously wrong, so when Bi. Salama and Saada come out to check on him, he asks if he can check on her, but Saada informs him that Sultana doesn’t want to see him.
When Bi. Salama tells J.J. that she knows he hates her, he laughs it off, asking how he can ever forgive her for ruining his life and his family’s by ripping him away from them. Nonetheless, he decides to listen to her. She begs him to allow her time to get her girls to safety, promising that once they’re there she’ll come looking for him and answer any and all questions he may have. JJ, however, thinks this ludicrous and inquires as to whether or not her mind is still in good working order.
