The Arsenal Manager, Mikel Arteta hit the headlines once more after he hired pickpockets to steal the phones and wallets of the Arsenal players. This was during a team dinner.
The Gunners Manager then told the players to empty their pockets and put everything on the table. It was at that moment that, some of the players realized that they were missing some key items.
Mikel Arteta then explained to his players why he hired the professional pickpockets to conduct that exercise. He revealed that, this was his strategy to check how alert and prepared they are. He told his players that he wants them to be alert and prepared at all times.
The Premier League is around the corner and the days that are remaining are very less. Mikel Arteta cautioned his players because the new season is already here and the aim this time is to go for the Premier League title.
Arsenal has finished second in two consecutive seasons behind Manchester City. The Management of Arsenal believed in Mikel Arteta’s project and they gave him enough time to implement it.
The club has so far started reaping some benefits. Mikel Arteta has made Arsenal to be among the clubs that can contest for the Premier League title once again. He has also managed to take Arsenal back to the Champions League where only elite clubs participate.
Mikel Arteta has also been backed up with funds for purchase of players who he thinks can fit his project. He is currently in the market looking for a prolific striker who can convert the chances that are being created by the other forward players.
Arsenal will surely get into the new season with a lot of energy because Mikel Arteta’s aim is to win the Premier League title with his former team which he was the captain.
