Full Analysis as Arsenal Bitterly Revenge Against Aston Villa for Last Season’s Title Woes

Aston Villa welcomed Arsenal at the Villa Park for another thrilling game of the English Premier League. This was a much awaited game because Arsenal was seeking a revenge against their opponents after Unai Emery’s side got a double of the club last season.

Aston Villa denied Arsenal the Premier League title last season. Mikel Arteta came back for a revenge this season and he has found it in an away match. He named a very strong squad to counter the equally strong and able squad of Aston Villa.

Arsenal’s lineup had, David Raya, Jurrien Timber, Gabriel Magalhaes, William Saliba, Ben White, Declan Rice, Thomas Partey, Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli, Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka.

Unai Emery’s side had, Emiliano Martinez, Matty Cash, Ezri Konsa, Pau Torres, Lucas Digne, Amadou Onana, Youri Tielemans. Leon Bailey, John Mc. Ginn, Morgan Rogers and Ollie Watkins.

The game was very nice and stiff in the first half. This saw the two teams record a 0-0 draw by the end of the first half. The second half was rather enjoyable to the Arsenal fans because the players recorded their revenge.

Mikel Arteta had to make a substitution for him to get the first goal. He substituted Gabriel Martinelli and replaced him with Leandro Trossard. The Belgian international player scored the opening goal of the game and it lifted the morale of the Arsenal players.

Bukayo Saka then gave Thomas Partey a good pass and the Ghanian international player made the Arsenal fraternity to have a party at the end of the game.

This was a sweet revenge for Arsenal and it means that, the club has now regained some three points that it lost last season. The club also regained the points with yet another second clean sheet of the season.

Mikel Arteta further made more changes, e substituted Jurrien Timber with Riccardo Calafiori and Bukayo Saka with Reiss Nelson.

Unai Emery made a couple of changes, but they were not enough to help his team. He substituted Matty Cash and replaced him with Kosta Nedeljkovic. Ollie Watkins with Jhon Durain, John McGinn with Jacob Ramsey, Amadou Onana with Ross Barkley and Lucas Digne with Ian Maatsen.

David Raya made a couple of saves and he was awarded with the Player of the Match award for his stunning performance.  He proved why he is being favored by Mikel Arteta as the number one shot stopper for the Gunners. The game ended 2-0 in favor of Arsenal.
