Mikel Arteta made only one change in the squad that thrashed Tottenham Hotspurs last weekend in the game against Brighton & Hove Albion. He brought in Albert Sambi Lokonga to take the place of Granit Xhaxa who is injured. The Arsenal players were held to a 0-0 draw and it was very tough for them to penetrate the Brighton defence. The opponents were playing aggressively and they made the Gunners to really struggle in the game. This is how the Arsenal players performed against their opponents.
Aaron Ramsdale
He was one of the brightest players on the pitch, he was tested a couple of times and he made some good saves. He is the one who helped Arsenal not concede any goal. He kept another clean sheet and proved his worth to the club. He proved a point as to why he has replaced Bernd Leno.
Takehiro Tomiyasu
Takehiro Tomiyasu had another brilliant game and he was very solid at the right back position. He was tested a lot of times but he made some good blocks that prevented the ball from reaching Arsenal’s goalpost.
Gabriel Magalhaes
The Brazilian international player had some rough time because he had to battle it out with the pacy strikers of Brighton. He however put some brilliant performance and helped the club to get another clean sheet.
Ben White
The former Brighton player coped up well with the pressure and he displayed a perfect game. He performed well and blocked most of the balls from his former teammates. He was very calm and he managed to display a good performance.
Kieran Tierney
The left back displayed another good performance both defensively and attack wise. His pace was also good in his wing and he gave his best in the game.
Thomas Partey
The Ghanian international player was the main midfielder. He tried his best to help the forward players by supplying them with the ball. He only needs a good player who can help him in the midfield.
Albert Sambi Lokonga
The Belgian international player also performed very well but he did not control the game as much as Granit Xhaxa always does.
Martin Oedegaard
The Norway international player struggled in the game and he was even substituted in the second half. His place was taken by Nicolas Pepe who tried his best to turn things around in favor of the Gunners.
Bukayo Saka
The young England international player was one of the lively players on the pitch. He managed to make some good runs in his wing. He was later substituted and his place was taken by Maitland Niles who did not have very much to do in the game.
Emile Smith Rowe
The young England international player was one of the most brilliant players on the pitch. He tried his best to get a goal for the club but the Brighton defenders were too strong. He however missed an open opportunity to give Arsenal the lead in the game.
Pierre Emerick Aubameyang
The Captain of the Gunners struggled in the game and he was marked tightly and this limited his chances of scoring. He was later substituted and his place was taken by Alexandre Lacazette who brought in fresh energy into the team. He however did not succeed to score any goal.
