The Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya, honorable Rigathi Gachagua has now changed his tune towards the former President, honorable Uhuru Kenyatta. He has changed from being his greatest critic to his defender.
The second in command boldly told President William Ruto that, he needs to respect his predecessor and his former boss, honorable Uhuru Kenyatta.
According to the Deputy President, they cannot continue to blame the woes of the Kenya Kwanza government to honorable Uhuru Kenyatta. He added that, they have been in office for two years now and therefore, honorable Uhuru Kenyatta has nothing to be blamed for since he is not in government.
The Deputy President also admitted that, honorable Uhuru Kenyatta is the Kingpin of the Mt. Kenya region while he is the leader of the people of the Mt. Kenya region. He also confirmed that he had asked for forgiveness from Mama Margaret Kenyatta and Uhuru Kenyatta, and they are now good.
On the flipside, the Deputy President also confirmed that he is now a man under siege. He confirmed that his phone calls are being tapped and his close associates are also being targeted.
He also stated that the rumors going round concerning his impeachment, are being pushed by people who are very close to President William Ruto. He confirmed all these while having an interview with the Kikuyu Vernacular Radio Stations.
It is indeed a quick turn of events because honorable Riagthi Gachagua was a very big critic of honorable Uhuru Kenyatta. They were not seeing eye to eye, but as things stand now, he is the one who is defending the former President from attacks from his boss, President William Ruto.
This is a very clear indication that, there is no permanent enemy in politics. It is just a matter of interests at a particular time and a particular season.
