How 10-Men Underrated Harambee Stars Thrashed Morocco 1-0

Harambee Stars surprised many people after beating two time CHAN Champions Morocco 1-0 at the Moi Sports Centre Kasarani. The game started on a very high note and the players showed that they were not underdogs in the tournament.

Ryan Ogam scored a very spectacular goal in the 42nd minute and this is what gave Kenya the lead. Moments later just before the half time whistle, Chrispine Erambo was shown a straight red card. This reduced the Kenyan players to only 10 men on the pitch.

The second half began on a very high note and the Harambee Stars players were well prepared to defend the goal that they got in the first half. They did their best throughout the game and managed to defend the goal.

The game ended 1-0 and this now means that, Harambee Stars will pocket another 1 million from President William Ruto. They were promised 1 million shillings for every win and half a million shillings for every draw.

So far the players now have a total of 2.5 million shillings, 1 million shillings from the 1-0 win against DRC, 500,000 shillings from the draw against Angola and 1 million shillings from the 1-0 win against Morocco.

They are also still in position one in their group stage and it is as good as saying that they have already qualified for the quarter finals. Kenya is so far the only unbeaten team in group A.

Many people have been left speechless because they never knew that Kenya could beat Morocco, leave alone even beating the team with 10-men on the pitch. Many people predicted a loss or a draw as the best result.

Bryne Omondi who is the first choice goalkeeper was awarded the man of the match after his heroic saves that kept Kenya into the game the entire period. He made some crucial saves and made sure that they got all the three points.
