MP Peter Kaluma Sends Warning to President Ruto After the Cancellation of Adani Deals

The member of Parliament of Homabay Town Constituency, honorable Peter Opondo Kaluma, has sent a stern warning to President William Ruto after the Head of State cancelled the deals that the government has been proposing to have with the Adani Group.

The vocal member of Parliament told President William Ruto that, it is always good to listen to his people even if they are wrong. This is because Kenyans were very vocal in opposing the Adani deals after it was purported that, they want to take over the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

This even led to demonstrations of different kinds but the government still did not heed to the cry and the call of Kenyans.

The Head of State was forced to cancel the JKIA and the Ketraco deal after the United States indicted the billionaire owner of the company. The biggest worry and questions that Kenyans are now asking is that, what could be the implications of the cancellation of the deal.

The cancellation of the Adani deal came as surprise to many people owing to the fact that, the government had deployed its top officials and they were ready to do anything to just defend the Adani deal.

The Adani deal was even backed by the former Prime Minister, honorable Raila Odinga. He said that the track record of the Adani Group should be checked by Kenyans because they have done some tremendous work in other Nations.

The Cabinet Secretary in charge of Energy, honorable Opiyo Wandayi was also very vocal in praising the Adani Group and now things have turned sour for him.
