Arsenal were humbled by Newcastle United after the team beat Arsenal 4-0 on aggregate to reach the EFL Finals. This was the third time this season that Newcastle United thrashed Arsenal without any response.
The antics of “Stay Humble” came back to haunt Arsenal just few days after using the same words against Erling Haaland on Sunday in the 5-1 win against Manchester City. This is a narrative that started in the first leg of the Premier League when Manchester City drew against Arsenal.
Erling Haaland told the players that they need to stay humble because they equalized in the last minutes of the game. Arsenal got the opportunity to host Manchester City in the return leg and they really played well as they thrashed the defending Champions 5-1.
Myles Lewis-Skelly scored and he did a mockery celebration of Erling Haaland. Manchester City felt humbled over the weekend for sure. It just took 3 days and the antics of stay humble came back to haunt Arsenal.
The club was defeated 2-0 by Newcastle United and then bundled out of the Carabao Cup with just the finals remaining. The Newcastle United fans shouted at the Arsenal players that they need to stay humble too.
This was very hurting because the same cup of tea that they served Manchester City, is the same Cup of tea that the Newcastle United fans served them.
Arsenal has been branded as the stay humble team and the fans mocked the team by saying that, the stay humble team has finally been humbled in their own game.
The team will now recharge and they will travel to Dubai so that they can regain their fitness back once again. The last time Arsenal went to recharge, the team came back with a lot of fire and they looked so ruthless and gave Manchester City a run for their money in the race for the Premier League title.
