Tottenham Hotspurs hosted Arsenal in another game of the North London Derby. Arsenal went into the game as a wounded lion in the midfield. The club was missing both Martin Odegaard who is injured and Declan Rice who got a red card against Brighton.
Aside from those players, Arsenal were also without, Riccardo Calafiori, Mikel Merino, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Kieran Tierney. Tottenham Hotspurs only missed two players and that is Richarlison and Yves Bissouma.
The game started on a very high note in the first half. The referee issued a total of 7 yellow cards in the first half alone. Arsenal looked very shaky in the midfield, but the defence was very tight. The first half ended in a 0-0 draw.
The second half started on a very high note and Arsenal tried their best and got the opening goal. Bukayo Saka took a corner and Gabriel Magalhaes scored a very good header that ended up as the only goal and the winner of the goal.
This was yet another assist for Bukayo Saka. This means that, he has now managed to give an assist in all the four matches that Arsenal has played this season. He was unfortunately injured towards the end of the game and his place was taken by Ethan Nwaneri who is just17 years old.
Mikel Arteta also gave Raheem Sterling his debut for Arsenal and he replaced Gabriel Martinelli while Gabriel Jesus who was injured returned from his injury and he replaced Leandro Trossard.
Ange Postecoglou also made just three changes. He substituted Rodrigo Bentancur and replaced him with Pape Matar Sarr, Brennan Jonson with Wilson Odobert and James Maddison with Timo Werner.
The game ended 1-0 in favor of Arsenal. This is the first time in the Premier League era that Arsenal has won three consecutive North London Derbies.
