Written by Salome Wanjiru who stabbed her boyfriend, Conrad Nyabuto 27 times and later charged for murder, has been freed on a 300,000 shillings bond.
Salome Wanjiru has been granted the bail, so that she can access medical treatment. She denied the charges that were pressed on her after appearing before Justice Florence Muchemi at the Thika High Court.
The evidence that was gathered by the investigative officers linked Salome Wanjiru to the brutal murder of Conrad Nyabuto. She told the judge that, she is not responsible for the death of Conrad Nyabuto who was her boyfriend.
Justice Florence Muchemi granted her the 300,000 bond on the basis of the submissions that were made in the court. She also said that, it is just a little reprieve while still pending further hearings on the matter at a later date.
Salome Wanjiru’s legal representatives stated that, they are very confident that they will win the case because according to them, their client is very innocent and she is being accused falsely.
The case will again be heard in the coming weeks and key witnesses are expected to give an account of what they know concerning the murder of Conrad Nyabuto. This comes at a time when Conrad Nyabuto’s family are crying and seeking for justice for their kin. They believe that the matter is being dragged for so long and justice is not being served to their kin.
Conrad Nyabuto was murdered in cold blood on 17th December, 2024 in Kamakis area in Ruiru Constituency. The body of Conrad was found inside the house locked after neighbors had some commotion coming from that house.
The police officers broke into the house and they found out that Conrad Nyabuto had already over bleed and died. Salome Wanjiru also had some injuries and the police believe that, she also attempted to take her life after ending that of Conrad Nyabuto.
