Written by Arsenal are set to host Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday for another Premier League fixture. The game will be one to keenly watch because the two clubs are currently in a good form after recording big wins over the weekend.
Arsenal beat West Ham United 5-2 while Manchester United thrashed Everton 4-0. This will also be Ruben Amorim’s biggest test so far after taking over the Managerial role at Manchester United.
Arsenal may miss the game with six key players after getting a double injury scare. Gabriel Magalhaes was forced off against West Ham United though it may have just been a precaution. Mikel Arteta however said that, he had carried an injury from the Champions League game against Sporting Lisbon.
Riccardo Calafiori who has also been suffering from injuries was also taken off in that game. His case is however understandable because maybe the Manager was trying to manage his game time.
Additionally, Thomas Partey who has been very instrumental this season also missed the game against West Ham United together with Mikel Merino. It is however not very clear how long their injuries will take having in mind that they are a very integral part in Mikel Arteta’s midfield.
This is however not a big problem because Martin Odegaard, Declan Rice and Jorginho will all be available. Thomas Partey always play goof football against Manchester United and therefore it is the hope of Arsenal fans that he will be available for selection.
The Gunners will also miss the services of Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu. They are all suffering from knee injuries but their places will be taken by other players.
The Manchester United players should not be reluctant because the available Arsenal’s squad is currently very strong even without the absentees through injury because the players are all aware of their roles.
